What are tiers in duels?
Tiers are a core part of the team duel system and have no function outside of duels. A racer's tier simply reflects their speed relative to their teammates.
Within each team, Tier A consists of the fastest racers, Tier B represents the middle group, and Tier C includes the slowest racers. A team cannot be made up entirely of Tier A racers; instead, teams are evenly divided across tiers whenever possible. If the total number of team members is not a multiple of three, the tiers may differ slightly in size.
Tier placement within a team is based on each racer's Lifetime Top WPM Average.
Tier Locking
The team page displays each member's tier, calculated in real time based on their Lifetime Top WPM Average. In some cases, the tier shown on the team page may differ from the one shown on the duel page. This happens because racer tiers are locked when a duel starts, while the team page continues to display real-time tier calculations.
