A squad is a unit within a team. It can be composed of a variable number of team members. Each squad is associated with a name, color, and symbol.

What are their purposes?

1. They make it possible to set up creative, intra-team competitions (note that, as of Season I, comps are not yet implemented).
2. They offer an additional level of organization to your team, as smaller units are easier to manage. It will eventually be possible to assign a commander to each squad. The commander will be authorized to post squad news/information on their dedicated squad page.
3. While Squad Quests are not yet a thing, they eventually will be.
4. They are just plain cool, really!
