Understanding the KTL

The KTL regular season is organized into eight weekly cycles. Each cycle is composed of two phases: Division Trials from Monday to Friday and Crossover Battles on the weekend.

Division Trials

From Monday to Friday, teams compete to rank as high as possible within their division in order to earn KTL Points.

  • The team that finishes in first place for the week earns 8 KTL Points

  • The second-place team earns 7

  • The third-place team earns 6

  • The fourth-place team earns 5

  • The fifth-place team earns 4

  • The sixth-place team earns 3

  • The seventh-place team earns 2

  • The eighth-place team earns 1

  • Teams that place below eighth do not earn any KTL Points.

  • In addition, the team that finishes in first place across all divisions win an additional 2 KTL points.

This way, each week starts fresh, with all teams on equal footing, competing to maximize their points until the division trials conclude on Friday at 12:00 PM (EST).

Crossover Battles

On weekends, each team faces a team from the other division in a 48-hour duel, except during week 8 when the duel lasts only 24 hours. Matchups rotate weekly based on pre-determined seed pairings.

End of season Tournament (Playoffs)

Once the eight cycles have concluded, the top 8 teams from each division (based on total KTL points) qualify for the playoffs. Each playoff match is a 24-hour duel. The winner of each division advances to the finals.
