Klavia Season 8, Heatwave, ran from June 29 to August 30, 2026. The theme revolved around heat and the simple pleasures of summer. A marshmallow companion named Squishy was available exclusively during this season, although it is unclear if it will return during the next summer season. Unlike previous seasons, no new gameplay features were introduced when the season launched. However, some spectacular improvements were introduced throughout the season, making Heatwave one of the richest seasons in terms of new features. One of these was the addition of a new smooth typing caret, which many players found made the typing experience more satisfying. Brand-new cockpit themes were also introduced, allowing players to customize the colors and overall look of the text they type. Heatwave also introduced community bonuses, which activate when the community completes a certain number of races within a 24-hour period. For example, when the community completed 7,000 races within the previous 24 hours, everyone's chances of obtaining orbs during a race were tripled, and all orbs earned became orbs of friendship, by far the most popular type of orb! But Heatwave didn't stop there. Season 8 also introduced the new Spotlight Poem game mode, seven new title animations, new types of challenges for quests, and the ability to view KTL standings from previous seasons. Speaking of KTL, MV dominated the regular-season standings and went on to win the final, defeating HOK 15-0. In the end, Heatwave was a colorful season that captured the summer vibe beautifully.
